  • Peanut

    Adoptable Spotlight: Peanut

    Status: Ready for Adoption!

    Age: 17 Weeks

Weight: 5 lbs (She’s been a busy growing warrior!)

    Breed: Terrier Mix

    Estimated Size: Small to Medium

    About Peanut:

Peanut joined the New Bark City All Paws Rescue Inc. family as a rescue-only save from the shelter after being found on the streets. This petite powerhouse faced her biggest challenge—Parvo—and fought like a true warrior to come out the other side.

We are overjoyed to announce that Peanut has made a full recovery! She is a striking tan and black pup with a sweet white patch on her chest and adorable white "socks" on her paws. She is fully spayed, up-to-date on her vaccinations, and has been cleared by our vet.

  • Pip

    Adoptable Spotlight: Pip

Status: Available for Meet & Greets and Applications (Ready for adoption after June 9th)

    Age: 14 Weeks

    Weight: 7.5 lbs

    Breed: Rat Terrier Mix

    Estimated Size: Small

    About Pip:

Pip joined the New Bark City All Paws Rescue Inc. family as a rescue-only save from the shelter after battling Parvo. We are thrilled to share that she has made a full recovery, is thriving, and has tested negative for the virus!

Pip is an all-black beauty with a unique, sweet white "goatee" on her chin—the only touch of color on her coat. She is incredibly loving, sweet, and absolutely adores attention. True to her nature, she is a quiet girl who isn’t much of a barker; she just loves being around her people.

We are currently taking things slow with her introductions to other dogs, but she has done well meeting Mama Luna and Holly, showing a friendly, tail-wagging demeanor with no signs of aggression. We will be introducing her to playgroups this week to learn even more about her social style. Pip will be officially ready to head to her forever home after her final booster shot on June 9th, but we are accepting applications and scheduling meet-and-greets now!

  • Koa

Koa — The Soulful "Miracle" Girl 🌸

    Status: Available for Adoption

    Age: 6 Months (Born Oct 30, 2025)

Breed Mix: Australian Cattle Dog / Catahoula / Staffy Mix

    Meet Koa

Koa is a true survivor and the youngest of "Mama Luna’s" litter. While her heritage suggests high energy, Koa is actually a "thinker." She is a gentle, observant soul who prefers to watch the action for a moment before joining in with a tail wag. She’s developed into a lovely, calm young lady who is ready to find her person.

    The "Nurse-Certified" Training Report

    • Crate Queen: Koa is a pro! She is quiet, comfortable, and goes into her crate on command.

    • Master of Recall: She is a great listener who comes when called and knows the routine of the house perfectly.

    • Smart & Driven: With her Cattle Dog and Catahoula intelligence, she is a joy to train and eager to please.

    Health & Wellness

Koa has received full medical-grade care at New Bark City. She is:

    • Fully Vaccinated & Microchipped

    • Health Certificate Included (Clean bill of health!)

    • Thriving & Resilient

    The Ideal Home

Koa would love a family that appreciates her smarts and her slightly timid, sweet nature. She’s a gentle girl who will flourish in a home that offers her a little confidence and a lot of love.

    Status: Available for Adoption

    Age: 6 Months (Born Oct 30, 2025)

Breed Mix: Australian Cattle Dog / Catahoula / Staffy Mix

Personality: Affectionate, Playful, and "Social Butterfly"

    Meet Lilly

Lilly is a total heartbreaker with the most unique brindle markings! She is the "Play Leader" of her pack—if there’s a game of tug-of-war happening, you can bet Lilly started it. She’s transitioned from the "vocal" one of the litter to a beautifully matured, affectionate girl who thrives on human attention.

    The "Nurse-Certified" Stats

    • The Ultimate Shadow: She is the most "clingy" of her sisters in the best way—she wants to be held and loves to be the center of your world.

  • Asta Ray

Meet Asta Ray — The Smartest Snuggler 🌟

    Status: Available for Adoption

    Age: 6 Months (Born Oct 30, 2025)

Breed Mix: Australian Cattle Dog / Catahoula / Staffy Mix

Personality: Intelligent, Affectionate, and a Total "Nuzzler"

    Meet Asta Ray

Asta Ray is the perfect blend of "Beauty and Brains." While she has the sharp intelligence of a working dog, she is also a deeply sensitive soul who has recently discovered her favorite thing: human affection. She has matured into a loving girl who will come to you for nuzzles, give sweet kisses, and "apologize" with a wagging tail if she knows she’s broken a rule. She truly wants to be your best friend!

    The "Asta" Training Report

    • Target Trained: Asta is a very smart student! While she is still a puppy and perfecting her outdoor timing, she is consistently target-trained to use pee pads indoors. She’s making great strides and just needs a steady routine to cross the finish line.

    • Crate Pro: She handles her crate routine perfectly and sees it as her safe space.

    • Highly Responsive: Because she is so smart and sensitive to her person’s tone, she is an absolute joy to train. She listens and learns lightning-fast.

    The Social Life

    • The "Bowie" Bond: Asta thrives with a playmate! She loves other dogs, especially neutered males around her age (ideally under 4 years old).

    • The Perfect Pair: If you’re looking for a "ready-made" family, Asta and her best friend Bowie are a match made in heaven and would love to stay together!

    • No Cats: Asta Ray is looking for a feline-free home where she can focus on her training and her new family.

    Health & Wellness

    • Nurse-Certified: Fully vaccinated, microchipped, and thriving under professional medical-grade care.

    • Active & Ready: She would love a home with a fenced yard and a family that enjoys keeping a smart dog’s mind busy.

  • Yoshi

Meet Yoshi – The Sweetest Tuxedo Gentleman

    • Age: 4 Years Old

    • Breed: English Bulldog

    • Coloring: Striking Black, Tan, and White "Tuxedo"

    • Status: In Medical Foster (Not Yet Available for Adoption)

    His Story:

Yoshi came to New Bark City All Paws Rescue as a hardship owner-surrender. His previous person loved him dearly but faced escalating medical challenges of their own and could no longer accommodate Yoshi’s complex medical needs. We stepped in to ensure this beautiful boy gets the specialized, high-level medical care he desperately deserves.

    Personality & Behavior:

Yoshi is an absolute angel with zero behavioral issues. He is a laid-back, chill, and incredibly sweet boy who gets along wonderfully with both dogs and cats. He doesn't quite know what to do with toys—whether he never learned to play with them or simply prefers a quiet snooze, he is perfectly content just being part of the family. He is fully potty trained and respects his boundaries; while he strongly dislikes being in a traditional wire crate (he will stretch his legs out to protest!), he does beautifully when kept safe in a confined room or designated open space.

    Medical Update & Funding Needs:

Yoshi is fully vaccinated, but his journey to wellness is just beginning. As a brachycephalic breed, he has already undergone the first part of his corrective airway surgery, but he requires a second, critical surgery to ensure he can breathe comfortably and safely.

Because of his anatomy, our primary goal is to combine his remaining airway surgery with his neuter surgery so he only has to go under anesthesia once. If our veterinary team determines a dual surgery is too long or risky for him, we will prioritize his breathing and secure a medical waiver for his neuter.

How You Can Help: > Yoshi will be resting in our specialized medical foster care for a bit while we prep for his next steps. We urgently need to raise funds for his upcoming airway surgery. Please keep this sweet tuxedo boy in your prayers, and consider donating toward his medical fund so we can get him to the finish line and, eventually, into his forever home

  • Sadie

Meet Meet Sadie: A Masterpiece of Recovery 🌸

Status: Available for Adoption (Pending Final Wellness Check)

Breed: Black-Mouth Cur / Hound Mix

    Age: 7 Years (Mature Adult)

The Journey to New Bark City

Sadie was found wandering the streets of Port Richey in a heartbreaking state. When she first arrived at our intake, she was severely malnourished—you could see every rib, and she suffered from significant muscle tone loss in her backside and hind legs.

Because we believe in ethical rescue, we held Sadie for over 30 days and exhausted every avenue to find an owner, giving them the benefit of the doubt that she was simply a lost pet. However, as the weeks passed, Sadie’s behaviors told a different story. Her hesitation around food and treats suggested a history of neglect. Today, she is officially 100% a New Bark City girl, and we are proud to say her transformation has been incredible. Through specialized Nutritional Rehabilitation, she has filled out beautifully and regained the strength in her legs!

    Personality: The "Sun-Basking" Soul

Sadie has graduated from a fearful "statue" to a gentle, low-maintenance companion.

    • 100% House-Trained: Sadie is a total professional with zero accidents. She respects the home and is happy to spend her day "basking" in any available sun-patch.

    • The Silent Partner: She is exceptionally quiet. You’ll only hear her voice if she needs to go potty and you haven't noticed her cues—she is a very polite communicator!

    • A Tender Heart: While she still prefers you to "drop" her treats rather than take them from your hand, she accepts hugs and pets with a submissive, loving heart. She isn't a "velcro" dog; she’s a respectful lady who waits for a gentle invitation.

    Ideal Home Requirements

    • The "Only Child": To keep her stress levels low and let her confidence continue to grow, Sadie would thrive most as the only dog in a quiet home.

    • Cat-Free Sanctuary: Sadie finds cats a bit "spooky," so she requires a feline-free environment.

    • Quiet Lifestyle: She is the perfect "shadow" for a retiree or someone who works from home and wants a calm, respectful presence by their side.

  • Arlo

    Arlo (Formerly Rocco)

    Age: 2 Years Old

    Weight: 42 lbs

Status:In-Progress Rehabilitation (Specialized Medical & Behavioral Care)

Intake Date: March 2026 (Medical Emergency)

    Arlo’s Rehabilitation Journey:

Arlo is a brave "Red-List" survivor who came to us with a fractured jaw and several puncture wounds. While he is healing beautifully, he’s still a work-in-progress as he learns to navigate life without pain.

Medical Status: Arlo is currently on a specialized Soft Food Diet to protect his healing jaw. He’s showing incredible progress and is already off his behavioral medications—showing us his true, spunky personality!

Behavioral Focus: We’re working with Arlo on "boundary training" and social skills. He’s a smart boy who mastered the house routine in 72 hours, but he still has moments of "over-enthusiasm" (especially with bedding!).

Training Goals: We’re focusing on "Recall" and "Down," and he is incredibly food-motivated, which makes our sessions together a highlight of his day.

  • Lucy

Lucy — The Athletic Companion ❤️

    Status: Available for Adoption

    Age: 1 Year, 7 Months

Breed Mix: Beagle / Hound Mix

Personality: Mellow, Loyal, and Ready for Adventure

    Meet Lucy

Lucy is a soulful, athletic girl who is the perfect mix of "chill" and "go." While she is a steady, calm presence in the house, she has a legendary "Zoomie" side that comes out when she’s excited! She is a resilient, healthy girl who has been waiting for the right partner to share her life with.

    The Active Life

    • Adventure Ready: Lucy is an athletic hound who would thrive with an active person. Whether it’s hiking trails, long walks, or trips to the park, she just wants to be where you are.

    • Yard Optional: A fenced yard is not required for Lucy—as long as her new family is committed to providing her with the daily exercise and mental stimulation she loves.

    • Crate is Her Castle: She loves her crate and views it as her safe space. She is perfectly content to relax in her "den" while you’re out of the house.

    The Ideal Match

    • The "Alpha" Spirit: Lucy does best with dogs her own size, especially those who are more submissive or match her athletic play style.

    • Routine is Key: Because of her background, she thrives on a steady routine and a consistent diet (like 4Health or Pure Balance). She has been healthy and episode-free for months!

  • Luna

👑  Mama Luna - A Heroic Mom Seeking a Peaceful Haven

    🌟 Mama Luna's Vital Snapshot

    Detail

    Status

    Age: 2 Years Old

    Sex: Female (Will be Spayed)

    Breed: Beagle Hound Mix

Size: Small to Medium (Approx. 38–42 lbs)

Availability: Estimated April (Pending Heartworm Treatment Completion)

    Adopter Required: Female-Only Household

    💖 A True Rescue Hero

Meet Mama Luna, a sweet, stunning Beagle Hound mix with a heroic story. Luna was a heart-breaking euthanasia rescue—pregnant and facing a dire situation. We intervened, and Luna successfully delivered three beautiful pups! She is now weaning her final babies and preparing for the next chapter: finding her forever home.

Luna is spunky, sweet, and absolutely loves her treats and chew toys (though you'll need to keep the TV remote out of sight, she has a mischievous side!).

    🩺 Health and Timeline

We are committed to making sure Luna is 100% healthy before she goes to her adoptive home.

Heartworm Positive: Luna is currently heartworm positive. The good news is that she will begin her full heartworm treatment process shortly after her pups are completely weaned (in the next week or two).

Availability: She will be spayed and fully vaccinated, microchipped, and licensed before adoption. We anticipate her being ready for pickup around April, once her treatment is successfully complete.

Pre-Adoption: We are happy to arrange meet-and-greets as early as March and can place a hold on her for the right family.

    🏠 Luna's Ideal Safe Haven

Luna's requirements are specific, but vital for her long-term happiness:

Female-Only Home: Due to assumed past trauma, Luna is fearful of men and does not like them. She must be placed in a single-woman home or a household with only women. This is a non-negotiable requirement to ensure her safety and comfort.

Dog Companions: She gets along with most dogs but can be selective. We believe she will thrive most and feel safest as the only dog in the home.

Cats: She walks past our resident cats daily without issue, but new introductions should still be done cautiously.

➡️ Could You Be Luna's Confident Protector?

This resilient mom has shown incredible strength and loyalty. She deserves a peaceful, loving home where she can be cherished and protected. If you can offer Mama Luna a secure, female-led home, please reach out!

  • Winnie

    Winnie: A Sanctuary of One

"Winnie is a beautiful, complex soul who has decided that after being let down twice, her circle of trust now has a guest list of exactly one.

As her full-time caregiver and medical advocate, I provide her daily treatments, her body rubs, and her favorite treats—but more importantly, I provide the only thing she has been missing: a promise that she is finally home. Due to the deep trauma of her past and her highly selective nature with other dogs, Winnie has found her peace in our one-on-one bond.

Because her skin condition and her emotional walls are so complex, Winnie is currently a permanent resident. She isn't 'broken'; she is simply choosing to spend her life with the one person who stayed. For Winnie, the healing is in the consistency, and she will remain under my wing for as long as she needs.

  • Dora Bella

Dora Bella: Our Gentle 95 lb Work-in-Progress

Status: Under Assessment / Specialized Behavioral Decompression

Breed: Lab Mix (The "Big Bear" of the rescue)

    Weight: 95 lbs

    Her Journey

Dora Bella’s story is a heavy one. She was found tied up in a backyard after her previous family abruptly left the property. Because of this abandonment, Dora Bella carries a deep-seated fear that being outside means being left. To her, a kennel isn’t a cage—it’s the only place she feels safe and certain that she hasn't been forgotten.

    The Work-in-Progress

We are currently working through her "Abandonment Issues" with a very slow, patient touch:

The Yard Challenge: Right now, Dora Bella only wants to be outside long enough to do her business. The moment she’s done, she heads straight back to the door. We are slowly showing her that the yard is a place for fun and that the door will always open for her to come back in.

Social Dynamics: She is Dog Selective. Because of her size and her need for security, she would thrive best as the only animal in a home. She needs to be the center of someone's world to truly feel secure.

The "Snack Helper": She has shown zero aggression toward smaller critters (even "helping" the cats clean up dropped food near their pen!), but we are still evaluating her direct one-on-one "cat-friendliness."

    Founders Note

"Dora Bella is a soul worth waiting for. She is incredibly loving and just wants to be part of a home where she never has to worry about a backyard chain again. We aren't rushing her; we're letting her tell us when she’s ready. Keep your eyes on this big girl—she’s going to make a very loyal companion for the right person."

  • Buddy

🐾 Buddy: The Resilient Gentleman & Our "Bunny-Hop" Hero ⚓

Buddy is a Walker Hound whose life has been a journey through storms—both literal and emotional. His story is a testament to why New Bark City exists for the "hard cases."

A Journey Through the Storms 🌪️

Buddy survived the devastation of Hurricane Helene in North Carolina. From there, he passed through multiple hands and homes where he just didn't "fit." He finally arrived at New Bark City to be rehomed—but our founder quickly saw what others had missed. Buddy wasn’t just a dog in need of a house; he was a senior soul in need of a hospital and a heart.

    The Nurse’s Discovery 🩺

Our founder (a retired nurse) uncovered the truth: Buddy was much older than his records said. He arrived with severe dental decay (requiring full extractions), chronic bursitis, and legs so stiff he needs daily massages just to stand up.

    His "Forever Harbor" ❤️

Buddy isn’t looking for a home anymore. We are his "Rock." Despite his hard life, he is the happiest soul—giving us "bunny hops" and a wagging tail every single day. He thrives on his "Cheese-Only" med protocol and a diet tailored for his toothless grin.

🎵 A Star in the Making: Buddy is even featured in our upcoming song, "No Reason" (coming soon to Spotify & Amazon Music!). When you hear the lyrics about our "Sweet Walker Hound," you’ll know exactly who we’re singing about.

Buddy will never be "put out" again. He is home, he is safe, and he is loved until the very end.

  • Baby

🐾 Meet Socrates (AKA Baby) 🐾

Status: Permanent Sanctuary Resident & Chief Dog-Wrangler

    Age: 13 Years

Origin Story: The Soccer Field "Jump"

    The Miracle of Socrates:

Socrates didn't just find a home; he chose one. While at a local soccer game, a tiny kitten suddenly leaped into our founder's arms to escape a group of chasing children. The field gatekeeper then shared a harrowing story: Socrates was the lone survivor of his litter after an alligator encounter at the fields.

Faced with that story and a kitten who refused to let go, there was only one choice. Socrates became an official "foster fail" and has spent the last 13 years as the most "dog-like" cat you’ll ever meet. He is completely chill, loves the entire pack, and truly considers himself "one of the guys." He is the heart of our sanctuary program.

  • Tiger

    🐾 Meet Tiger 🐾

    Status: Permanent Sanctuary Resident

    Age: 13 Years

Breed: Domestic Longhair Tabby (Extra Fluffy!)

    About Tiger:

Tiger is our resident "Tabby King" and a true master of the sanctuary lifestyle. Rescued from a backyard many years ago, Tiger has grown into a sophisticated, 13-year-old gentleman who knows exactly what he likes.

While he values his personal space and enjoys his "quiet zones," Tiger is a loyal friend to those who pass his high standards. He is part of the elite "Buddy & Crew" circle, frequently seen hanging out with Buddy, Dora, Bella, and Winnie. He is a cat who knows the value of a good nap and a solid group of dog friends—on his own terms, of course.

Tiger represents the "independent soul" of New Bark City. He is a fluff-ball with a big personality and a permanent place in our hearts.

  • Trina

    👑 The Queen’s Forever Harbor: Trina’s Story ❤️

When Trina first arrived at New Bark City, our hearts were full of hope. We saw a fighter who just needed a surgery and a "happily ever after" in a new home. We intended to be just a stepping stone.

But life had a different plan. 🐾

Due to unforeseen medical turns, the surgery that was supposed to be her "fix" is no longer possible. While this was a heavy realization, it led us to a beautiful promise: Trina doesn't have to look for a forever family anymore, because she is already home. ❤️⚓️

New Bark City has transitioned from her rescue to her Forever Harbor. She is now the heart of our Palliative Care Program.

Trina has a way of stealing hearts, but she stole the Founder's heart in a way that is hard to put into words. To honor that bond, our founder—a retired nurse who now spends her nights tending to Trina’s "up and down" struggles—couldn't help but write and sing a song specifically for her. This anthem was born out of a love for a dog that we just couldn't let go. 👑💖

🎵 Listen to the Queen's Song: You can hear this tribute dedicated to her on Facebook and Nextdoor, and soon on Spotify.

Trina isn't "unadoptable"—she is Home. Thank you for helping us give her the royal life she deserved all along.
