Lucy: The Loyal & Managed Beagle Mix

​Lucy is a beautiful, 40-lb Beagle Mix (approx. 1 year, 5 months old) and a Hurricane Helene survivor! She came to us when her family downsized, but we soon learned she struggles with anxiety which previously led to health issues like colitis.

​The Good News: Since being in our care, Lucy has been symptom-free for over a month! This proves she can thrive in the right environment. She is well-trained, listens beautifully, and is completely house-trained. While she has young dog energy, she calms down wonderfully and is ready to be a devoted companion.

​Lucy's Ideal Home is a Special One:

​Work-From-Home: Needs a devoted human who is home most of the time (works remotely) to manage her anxiety.

​Only Pet: She needs to be the only pet in the household to prevent stress.

​Adult-Only: Would do best in an adult-only home (or one with older, quiet teenagers) for a calm, consistent environment.

​Calm & Consistent: Requires a predictable, low-stress routine.

​❤️ Her Story & Temperament

​Dorabella is a gentle giant who has shown incredible resilience after being sadly left behind when her family moved away. This sweet girl is a calm, laid-back, and happy-go-lucky companion who adores people. She listens well to commands and is highly attentive. While she is not a super high-energy dog, she is looking for a relaxed home where she can be a cherished member of the family.

​🏡 Ideal Home & Compatibility

​People: Dorabella is excellent with people and thrives on human connection.

​Other Dogs: She is selective and needs a careful introduction to potential canine siblings. She rooms successfully with a mellow male dog and can likely live happily with a calm companion, but a meet-and-greet is essential.

​Cats: Dorabella has shown to be cat-friendly, preferring to ignore them.

​Training & Routine: She understands the concept of crate training and will go into a kennel when directed. She knows basic commands and is a big, strong girl who walks well on a leash but may pull slightly.

​We are thrilled to introduce Mama Luna and her three precious puppies: Koa, Pax, and Luxe!

​This courageous mama was recently rescued just in time—saving her from a difficult situation that included a possible spay/abort procedure and potential euthanasia. Thanks to this timely rescue, Luna and her precious puppies are now safe and thriving in our care.

​Adoption Status: Coming Soon!

​While they are featured here among our adoptable pets, please note that Mama Luna, Koa, Pax, and Luxe are NOT yet available for adoption. They are currently receiving the necessary care and attention to ensure they are healthy and ready for their forever homes.

​Here is their estimated timeline:

​The Puppies (Koa, Pax, Luxe): These little ones will be ready to go home once they reach 9 weeks of age and are fully vetted.

​Mama Luna: After her puppies are completely weaned, Luna will begin her necessary heartworm treatment. She will be available for adoption after she has completed her full course of treatment and received a clean bill of health.

​We will update their profile and announce when they are officially ready to accept applications!
