Healing Hearts,
Finding Forever Homes
Adopting is one of the best things you can do.
When you adopt, you’re not just giving a deserving animal a home. You’re also reducing the demand for puppy mills and other industrial-scale breeding operations that put profit before animal welfare.

Lucy
Lucy: The Loyal & Managed Beagle Mix
Lucy is a beautiful, 40-lb Beagle Mix (approx. 1 year, 5 months old) and a Hurricane Helene survivor! She came to us when her family downsized, but we soon learned she struggles with anxiety which previously led to health issues like colitis.
The Good News: Since being in our care, Lucy has been symptom-free for over a month! This proves she can thrive in the right environment. She is well-trained, listens beautifully, and is completely house-trained. While she has young dog energy, she calms down wonderfully and is ready to be a devoted companion.
Lucy's Ideal Home is a Special One:
Work-From-Home: Needs a devoted human who is home most of the time (works remotely) to manage her anxiety.
Only Pet: She needs to be the only pet in the household to prevent stress.
Adult-Only: Would do best in an adult-only home (or one with older, quiet teenagers) for a calm, consistent environment.
Calm & Consistent: Requires a predictable, low-stress routine.
Lucy is proof that the right home can change a life. Are you her perfect, patient match?

Dorabella
🐾 Dorabella: A Sweet, Resilient Companion
Breed: White/Cream Lab Mix
Weight: Approx. 85 lbs
Age: Estimated 4-5 years old
Status: Coming Soon! (Pending Vet Visit/Assessment)
❤️ Her Story & Temperament
Dorabella is a gentle giant who has shown incredible resilience after being sadly left behind when her family moved away. This sweet girl is a calm, laid-back, and happy-go-lucky companion who adores people. She listens well to commands and is highly attentive. While she is not a super high-energy dog, she is looking for a relaxed home where she can be a cherished member of the family.
🏡 Ideal Home & Compatibility
People: Dorabella is excellent with people and thrives on human connection.
Other Dogs: She is selective and needs a careful introduction to potential canine siblings. She rooms successfully with a mellow male dog and can likely live happily with a calm companion, but a meet-and-greet is essential.
Cats: Dorabella has shown to be cat-friendly, preferring to ignore them.
Training & Routine: She understands the concept of crate training and will go into a kennel when directed. She knows basic commands and is a big, strong girl who walks well on a leash but may pull slightly.

💖 The Heart of Winnie
Meet Winnie, a gorgeous, two-and-a-half-year-old Bully mix who embodies resilience. She is a gentle soul who has already faced more challenges than any dog should—she has been abandoned twice. Despite this, she is incredibly laid-back, potty trained (she lets you know when she needs to go!), and once she warms up, she is a loyal, loving friend who will happily settle down for a cuddle when she's feeling well.
Her favorite things in the world are leisurely walks, gnawing on a good bone, and destroying soft stuffies (stuffed animals). She needs a quiet, patient home where she can finally feel safe and respected.
🩺 What You Need to Know About Her Health
Winnie is a wonderful dog, but we are being completely transparent to ensure her next home is her forever home. She does come with a few manageable health needs:
Skin Allergies: Winnie currently suffers from a flare-up of skin allergies and is on medication to manage discomfort.
Crucial Testing Needed: We are dedicated to finding the root cause of her allergies (food or environmental) and are currently raising funds to get her comprehensive allergy testing. This will ensure her adopters have the best long-term care plan!
Eye Care: She experiences occasional dry eye, which is easily managed with simple eye drops as needed.
Your Support is Needed! If you'd like to help us give Winnie the gift of comfort and clarity, please consider donating toward her allergy testing:Hit that donate button
🏡 Winnie’s Ideal Home
Winnie is medium-energy and needs a specific environment to thrive:
Patience is Key: Due to her past and her current skin condition, she needs an adopter who respects her boundaries. She may be fearful initially, and when she has a flare-up, she doesn't like to be touched much—but she will come over and let you know exactly when she wants love!
Respectful Boundaries: She is currently working on food guarding. A new owner must be patient and prepared to continue management and training around her food bowl.
Quiet Environment: She would be happiest in an adult-only home with no children and no cats.
Vet Visits: Please note she requires a muzzle for vet appointments as she finds them very stressful.
➡️ Could You Be Winnie's Forever Human?
Winnie deserves a fresh start with someone who is patient, loving, and ready to help manage her few issues. Managing her health is a small price to pay for the endless love and loyalty this two-time survivor has to offer.

Super Friendly, Sweet, Loving, Resilient
🐾 From Stress to Sweetness
Meet Noonie, a beautiful 2-year-old mixed breed whose spirit is truly inspiring. Noonie was rescued by us from Pasco County Animal Services, where she endured severe kennel stress and was facing a difficult fate. We saw the loving dog beneath the stress, and we are so glad we did!
After a short time in our care, Noonie has blossomed. She is super friendly and adores people and, especially, treats! She has a wonderful balance of being laid-back most of the time, with fun little spurts of high energy—she’s the perfect medium-sized companion.
🏥 A Note on Her Transition
Healing from the Past: Because Noonie recently endured severe kennel stress, we are currently and carefully weaning her off medication used to help manage her anxiety.
The Path Forward: She has been with us only a few days but is already showing wonderful progress! Her future adopters must be prepared to be patient and provide a calm, structured environment to help her continue her journey toward full comfort.
🏡 Her Ideal Environment
Noonie needs a calm home that will continue to help her leave her stressful past behind:
Exercise is Key: Noonie loves to walk, so a yard is nice, but not necessary, as long as her adopter is committed to daily walks on the leash where she can happily explore.
A Quiet Home: Due to her past trauma, Noonie struggles with loud kennel noise. She needs a home free of excessive, persistent barking to avoid triggering her stress.
Dog-Selective: She is friendly but selective and tends to be the dominant one. She would do best with a same-size or larger, non-alpha dog companion. A home with small dogs is not recommended.
Children & Cats: We are unsure how she is with children, so a meet-and-greet would be mandatory for families. We recommend exercising caution and likely avoiding a home with cats for now.
❤️ A Heart Full of Love
Noonie is fully vetted (spayed, vaccinated, microchipped) and ready to be someone's favorite girl. She is a true survivor waiting for the gentle, loving family who will cherish her.

❤️ Saved and Showered with Love
Meet Miss Trina, a gorgeous Pitbull mix who was a true favorite at the shelter! We welcomed Trina into our rescue just yesterday after saving her from being euthanized. Despite the stress, Trina is nothing but super loving, sweet, and playful!
Trina loves her walks and is incredibly friendly. She is currently working on her manners (like curbing the excited puppy "nibbles"), but her heart is pure!
🩺 Urgent Surgery and Post-Care
Trina came to us with an immediate and critical medical need: masses that require surgical removal and a biopsy.
THANK YOU! We are so grateful for the immediate outpouring of support from our community! Because of many loving people who have already stepped up, we have raised a large portion of the funds needed for her surgery.
Our Current Focus: Post-Operative Care
While the surgery fund is nearly complete, we now need to focus on ensuring her comfort and full recovery. We still need to raise money to cover her:
Biopsy Costs: To determine if the masses are cancerous and give future adopters clarity.
Post-Operative Medications: Pain management and recovery supplies.
Extended Medical Care: Necessary follow-up appointments and bandage changes.
Please help us finish the job and give Trina the stress-free recovery she deserves!

🐾 A Story of Resilience and Love
Meet Buddy, a handsome, happy-go-lucky senior Walker Hound and a survivor of Hurricane Helene. Buddy has a spirit that shines, even after being abandoned and rehomed multiple times. He's the definition of resilience, and now, he’s ready for the safe, stable, and loving forever home he has always deserved.
Buddy is a true southern gentleman who lives to give love. He's super friendly, adores all dogs (though he prefers a calm, older companion over a rambunctious puppy), and is incredibly affectionate.
"Buddy truly has my heart. If I could, I would adopt him myself! He is an amazing dog who deserves someone to spoil him rotten and give him the attention he craves."
🩺 Senior Care & Management
As a distinguished senior, Buddy has a few easy-to-manage needs:
Arthritis: He has arthritis, but he doesn't let it slow him down! A quick rub on his back and legs and he's bouncy like a puppy again. His pain is currently managed with Gabapentin, and we are working with our vet to get him an optimized pain management plan for his adoption.
Dental Needs: Buddy has very few teeth remaining and will require careful dental care.
Ear Care: He occasionally gets ear issues, which are an easy fix with ear drops and regular cleaning at the groomer (where he also gets his nails done and a refreshing bath!).
Healing Sores: He currently has a couple of minor sores we are treating, which are healing well.
Management Tips: Adopters will need to keep an eye on his teeth/gums, monitor for any new sores (he tends to climb things and can get small cuts), and be mindful of his sensitive feet.
🏡 Buddy’s Ideal Life
Buddy is an excellent companion and would fit perfectly into a variety of homes:
Fenced Yard Needed: As a hound, he loves to roam and needs a secured yard where he can safely explore.
Great with Everyone: He is wonderful with older children and would make an excellent companion for an older couple.
Dog-Friendly: He adores other dogs, though he would do best with a calm, older companion (a 6- or 7-year-old dog would be a great pal).
Cat Neutral: He seems fine with cats, giving them kisses through a gate, but we recommend a cautious introduction if you have feline friends.
➡️ Ready to Open Your Heart to This Gentle Giant?
Buddy’s love is boundless, and he is ready to settle down with the patient family who recognizes the gold in this sweet senior. He promises to fill your life with warmth, companionship, and endless love!

💖 A True Rescue Hero
Meet Mama Luna, a sweet, stunning Beagle Hound mix with a heroic story. Luna was a heart-breaking euthanasia rescue—pregnant and facing a dire situation. We intervened, and Luna successfully delivered three beautiful pups! She is now weaning her final babies and preparing for the next chapter: finding her forever home.
Luna is spunky, sweet, and absolutely loves her treats and chew toys (though you'll need to keep the TV remote out of sight, she has a mischievous side!).
🩺 Health and Timeline
We are committed to making sure Luna is 100% healthy before she goes to her adoptive home.
Heartworm Positive: Luna is currently heartworm positive. The good news is that she will begin her full heartworm treatment process shortly after her pups are completely weaned (in the next week or two).
Availability: She will be spayed and fully vaccinated, microchipped, and licensed before adoption. We anticipate her being ready for pickup around April, once her treatment is successfully complete.
Pre-Adoption: We are happy to arrange meet-and-greets as early as March and can place a hold on her for the right family.
🏠 Luna's Ideal Safe Haven
Luna's requirements are specific, but vital for her long-term happiness:
Female-Only Home: Due to assumed past trauma, Luna is fearful of men and does not like them. She must be placed in a single-woman home or a household with only women. This is a non-negotiable requirement to ensure her safety and comfort.
Dog Companions: She gets along with most dogs but can be selective. We believe she will thrive most and feel safest as the only dog in the home.
Cats: She walks past our resident cats daily without issue, but new introductions should still be done cautiously.
➡️ Could You Be Luna's Confident Protector?
This resilient mom has shown incredible strength and loyalty. She deserves a peaceful, loving home where she can be cherished and protected. If you can offer Mama Luna a secure, female-led home, please reach out!
